I get pretty “boujee” as Gabe would say when it comes to holidays. I always have something exciting for the girls to wake up to the morning of. I also love making things for Khloes class, as well as for her teachers. Some of you may not know this but I also run somewhat of a small handmade business out of my home. It’s not anything that pays the bills by any means, but more so of something for me to put my mind into and put my talent to work. SO with that being said, most holidays I concoct a teachers gift and offer them for sale to my local friends.
This year I wanted to stray from the typical tumbler cup of coffee mug and think more outside the box. I came across some idea on Pinterest but I wasn’t sold on anything. I came up with a cute terra cotta pot and succulent design.
Like I said, I’m super extra.. I volunteered as one of the room moms in Khloes class and I love it. A few weeks ago while strolling target, I came across some super cute heart sunglasses. The even better part was that they were only $3 for a pack of 16 (perfect for her class of 15). My original plan was to set them out at each setting for the kids, but decided to spice them up a little bit. I created a tag and tied them on and they are adorable! You can find the sunglasses HERE and I have included the “you brighten my day valentine” tag HERE
For her class valentines, I went with something a little different. We have quite the country girl on our hands over here and she is horsey obsessed. I also knew I didn’t want to do a typical valentine nor did I want to do candy, cause lord knows she gets enough of that. I found this bucket of 60 horses at target for about eight bucks. I couldn’t find them online though, but I did find this similar bucket of farm animals and you can find those HERE.. I went ahead and also am linking the card that I made up, although if not printed on cardstock, they must be backed with cardstock for support, and you can find that HERE. I printed those and backed them with cardstock. Then I used a hook like tool to poke holes on either side of the horse and string them on. They turned out adorable and I cant wait for her to pass them out to her friends!
I hope you enjoyed my DIY for the week!
